Tool configuration dialog

Tool

The tool configuration window is used to define the geometry and parameters for the milling tool. The geometry can be defined in the separate tool editor.

The tool geometry must be defined correctly. Only then can the radius compensation and the collision check be applied correctly.

Geometry

The tool editor is available for creating the geometry.
It is described in a subchapter of special dialogs

Parameters

This section lists the geometry-independent parameters for the tool

NC number [toolId]

The NC number is intended for the tool changer and must match the tool list of the machine control. The postprocessor uses this number for the tool call before the toolpaths are executed.
