Installation

The installation of send2cnc is a simple and quick process, guided by a setup wizard.

Current version

Before installation, it is recommended to check the website www.send2cnc.com/downloads to see if a more recent version of send2cnc is available.

Installation process

Run the downloaded setup wizard and follow the instructions. At the beginning of the installation process, a language must be selected. This selection also determines the language of the program interface. The language can be changed later via the settings without reinstalling. After the installation is complete, send2cnc can be started.

Activation<BASIC>

After your order has been checked, you will receive a licence file in *.xml format by email. Save the file and simply drag and drop it onto the program interface or open it via File/Open (in this case, the file type in the dialogue must be changed to 'licence file').

After loading the licence file, send2cnc must be restarted.

Further information can be found in the chapter 'Licence manager'

During the installation of send2cnc a specific folder is created. This folder contains important files such as post processors, templates, settings, example projects and crash logs.

Updates

send2cnc checks for updates on start up. It is recommended that you keep the update check enabled in the settings, no system or personal data is transferred.

Updates often contain important improvements, including security-related updates, so we recommend that you always keep send2cnc up to date.

Before installing an update, we recommend that you backup the ProgramData folder. This will help avoid data loss in the event of complications during the update process.
